Oxfam wedding boutique: second-hand dress, first-class experience

The Oxfam wedding boutique shop: feel amazing, get first-class advice and give money to charity. WINNING. I didn’t even know there was an Oxfam wedding boutique shop, and I used to work in the charity world. Shame on me. Have you considered buying a second-hand wedding dress? If not, grab a cuppa and open your horizons…

A lovely friend of mine recently recommended the Oxfam wedding department. They have boutiques all over the country so hopefully just a hop, skip and a jump from wherever you live.  They also have the Oxfam online wedding boutique shop. Yee ha.

My friend has ended up with a beautiful vintage dress, felt bloody beautiful and amazing when trying it on, has given to the awesome charity that is Oxfam, and now has some extra moola to maybe even buy a second dress to change into that night.  Heidi and Audrina eat your heart out.

Basically you might end up with a cool vintage dress like Audrey’s. Biggest bride crush ever

Not for everyone, but sounds like a no-brainer to look into it, especially if you’re attempting a budget wedding. They have a range of styles and, according to my friend, accommodate a range of ‘real women’ sizes. Score.

Meanwhile…I have my second wedding dress fitting tonight…scared! I haven’t tried the dress on since August…wish me luck please and thanks.

Happy wedding dress trying-on, bridelings! Keep it real, yo x

I'm a 32 year-old newlywed bride, living in London. I recently got married (July 2016) and am here to spread wedding joy and worldly wedding advice to fellow bridelings who don't want their weddings to take over their lives. Let's laugh (nervously) in the face of bonkers wedding planning!
