Honeymoon booking: Just…there are no words

So last night Mr DTE and I booked our honeymoon. I am still BUZZING! Honestly, so far the best thing about the wedding planning. Turns out Mr DTE has definitely been more enthusiastic about this than the flower hunt. Funny that…

We are all different, so our route might float the boat of some of you but not others. Just go where you want yo! Whether you’re adventurous and sporty, want a city break, or just want to lie on a beach for two weeks – just do what you want and what you can afford!

We’re going away straight after the wedding because we’re fortunate enough to be able to do so. However, a little break before the honeymoon is a great idea I think. Spread this happiness out bridelings!

Quite a few of my friends, and also my sister, went on a little trip straight after (call it a mini moon if you must) and then waited a few months and often saved up some more moola, until they did their big trip (big moon? mega moon?)

After much, much discussion (woe is us right, lots of chat about which dreamy destination to go to, how stressful) we settled on a 10-day drive from San Francisco down the Big Sur to Venice Beach (via Napa Valley) followed by 6 days in Hawaii. We wanted a mixture of adventure and city breaks, relaxation on beaches and also some obligatory wine tasting. Can’t bloody wait! Bring on the Hula. I hope to be hula-ing at least twice a day. There will be pics, fear not.

Where are you planning on going, loved ones?? Talk to me…

ps – For those of you wondering, I lost the Valentine’s bake-off. I am STILL fuming. He definitely cheated. We’re now at 3-3. What…ever.

I'm a 32 year-old newlywed bride, living in London. I recently got married (July 2016) and am here to spread wedding joy and worldly wedding advice to fellow bridelings who don't want their weddings to take over their lives. Let's laugh (nervously) in the face of bonkers wedding planning!
