Have some time away from the wedding

As you can tell from my posts, as much as I love planning my wedding, I don’t spend 24 hours a day doing it, because that would be weird.

As we’ve said below, it’s hard to find any time when we’re not working, seeing friends, keeping in touch with family, cooking, cleaning, sleeping etc etc. However, I have started having just one hour every week to myself. It’s so nice! I cooooould be doing wedding planning in that hour, but it’s so much nicer to just read my book and come back feeling refreshed.

So, top tip: have at least an hour each week to yourself when you’re not always doing wedding-related things. Put…the…Pinterest….down.

I’ve actually found it really useful to just have some time to myself, and if any wedding thoughts pop into my head then wonderful and I jot them down. If not, then I’ve had a whole hour with my book, a coffee and some guilty pleasures. At the end of that hour endorphins are just BURSTING out of my skin. And caffeine…and some sugar. And also happiness! Peace out team x

For tips on things to do with your weekly hour (at least) to yourself, have a look at the Down-to-earth Bride ME TIME Pinterest board. You’re welcome.

I'm a 32 year-old newlywed bride, living in London. I recently got married (July 2016) and am here to spread wedding joy and worldly wedding advice to fellow bridelings who don't want their weddings to take over their lives. Let's laugh (nervously) in the face of bonkers wedding planning!
