The wedmares begin…

So last week I had my first wedmare. It was pretty rough. I dreamt that I woke up late on my wedding day, had 45 minutes to get ready AND get to the ceremony, that I forgot to put any make-up on and couldn’t find my dress. AGH.

I know, I know. This is not ‘down-to-earth bride’ behaviour. I’m sorry! I thought I was being so cool as well. Clearly my sub-conscious had a 6-month-before-the-wedding-freak-out/wake-up-call.

Where I hope I differ from bridezilla is that I kept my cool. I laughed it off. I said ‘I got this’.

I hope it’s just that I care. It miiiiight also because I did absolutely NO wedding planning stuff over Christmas so perhaps I need to pull my finger out. Sometimes our bodies are ever so clever aren’t they.

I’ve now got some wedding tasks done and last night I dreamt I was growing daffodils in my fireplace. I think all is well again. Bye bye wedmares, see you NEVER.

I'm a 32 year-old newlywed bride, living in London. I recently got married (July 2016) and am here to spread wedding joy and worldly wedding advice to fellow bridelings who don't want their weddings to take over their lives. Let's laugh (nervously) in the face of bonkers wedding planning!
